US markets end the day on a mixed note after dismal private jobs data

US markets ended the day on a mixed note yesterday, 4th June, 2025. This after payroll report from ADP showed that private sectors jobs increased at their lowest level in more than 2 years, in May 2025. Private sector jobs increased by just 37000 in the US economy in the month, according to the report. The numbers indicate that trade related policy of President Trump has already started to have an adverse impact on the US economy. Nasdaq ended the day, up by 61.53 points or 0.32%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 0.44 points or 0.0074%. Dow Jones ended the day, down by 91.20 points or 0.22%.

European markets end the day in red

European markets  ended the day, yesterday, in green. Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day yesterday, up by 29.45 points or 0.55%. FTSE 100 ended the day, up by 14.27 points or 0.16%. Dax ended the day, up by 184.86 points or 0.77%.

Asian markets have started the day on a mixed note

Asian markets have started the day today on a mixed note. At 8:50 a.m. Indian Standard Time, 5th June, 2025, Nikkei 225 is down by 88.99 points or 0.24%. Hang Seng is up by 198.63 points or 0.84%. Shanghai composite is up by 2.88 points or 0.085%.  Kospi is again up by 42.30 points or 1.53%.

Indian markets are getting mixed cues from foreign markets today. They may begin the day on a mixed note.
