US markets ended the week, on 6th June 2025, on a strongly positive note. The US economy added 139000 jobs in May. This was slightly more than expected but less than the 147,000 jobs added in April. The report indicated that job growth slowdown is accelerating in USA. If the slowdown accelerates further, then it may push the US Federal Reserve to go for an interest rate cut.
Nasdaq ended the day on 6th June, up by 231.5 points or 1.20%. Dow Jones ended the day, up by 443.13 points or 1.05%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 61.06 points or 1.03%.
Asian markets start the day strongly in green
Asian markets have also started the day strongly in green today, 9th June, 2025. At 9:30 a.m. IST, Nikkei 225 is up by 415.9 points or 1.10%. Hang Seng is up by 240.87 points or 1.01%. Shanghai composite is up by 7.90 points or 0.23%. South Korean KOSPI is up by 47.48 points or 1.69%.
