Mumbai, August 1: Indian equity markets are likely to take cues from the Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy decision, domestic and US PMI data, key US labour-market readings and a busy Q1 earnings calendar in the week ahead. Investors will also track results from several major companies across telecom, banking, auto, consumer, retail, pharma and metals sectors.
Monday
S&P Manufacturing PMI: Investors will track the S&P Global manufacturing PMI readings for July from India and the US on Monday for fresh cues on the health of factory activity in the two economies. The data could offer insights into demand conditions, input costs and business confidence amid ongoing global economic uncertainty.
RBI MPC Meeting: The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee will begin its three-day meeting on Monday, with investors closely watching the central bank’s assessment of inflation, economic growth, liquidity and interest rates ahead of its policy decision on Wednesday.
UPL: Shares of UPL will be in focus as the agrochemicals major reports its quarterly results. Investors will track revenue growth, margins, demand trends and management commentary on the global crop protection market.
IREDA: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency will announce its results, with investors watching loan growth, asset quality, disbursements and the outlook for financing in the renewable energy sector.
CAMS: Computer Age Management Services will report its quarterly performance. Investors will track revenue growth, profitability and trends in mutual fund folios and assets under management.
