CNG Rate Today, July 16, 2026: CNG Prices Continue to Hold Steady

Mumbai, July 16: CNG prices remained stable and unchanged across all cities in India on Thursday. All the 15 cities that we track saw gas prices holding steady from where they ended the previous trading session on Wednesday. With city gas distribution companies Indraprastha Gas, Mahanagar Gas, GAIL Gas and Torrent Gas uploading the national CNG price matrix on their websites, prices have now gone six sessions without any change.

Hyderabad is where CNG costs the most to purchase at Rs 103.00 per kg and prices in the city remained unchanged for six straight sessions. CNG prices were unchanged in Firozabad (UP) at Rs 98.00 per kg and Bharatpur (UP) at Rs 97.50 per kg for the same duration. New Delhi once again was the city where CNG is cheapest at Rs 83.09 per kg, coming in just under Rs 3 cheaper than Mumbai where prices continue to hover at Rs 86.00 per kg.

Remaining cities that went unchanged in the National Capital Region include Noida and Ghaziabad at Rs 91.70 per kg, Gurugram at Rs 88.12 per kg, Rewari at Rs 87.70 per kg and Meerut at Rs 91.50 per kg. Sonipat continues to be the NCR city where CNG is priced the highest at Rs 94.00 per kg.

Prices in Chennai continued to be flat at Rs 97.00 per kg, along with Bangalore, Mathura and Dewas remaining the same. The spread between the cheapest city of Delhi and the most expensive city of Hyderabad continues at Rs 19.91 per kg. The biggest spread within a cluster continues to prevail in the NCR at Rs 10.91 where prices range from Rs 83.09 per kg in Delhi to Rs 94.00 per kg in Sonipat.

No signals have come from city gas distributors for a near term revision with input costs for domestic natural gas continuing to trade largely unchanged throughout the week. Do keep in mind these prices are indicative and compiled from what’s publicly available on CGD company websites. They do not factor in local taxes, so the prices at pumps may be a few rupees higher. Always best to confirm locally before fueling up.
