Mumbai, June 19: New India Assurance Company, IFCI and Suzlon Energy featured among the most active equities on Friday as investors remained focused on financial, insurance and renewable energy counters amid heightened market activity.

Insurance And Financial Stocks See Heavy Trading

The New India Assurance Company (NIACL) emerged as one of the most actively traded stocks, gaining 9.96% to ₹196.47 with more than 5.16 crore shares changing hands. IFCI also witnessed strong investor participation, rising 5.07% to ₹86.48 on volumes exceeding 15.49 crore shares.

Yes Bank remained active despite limited price movement, advancing 0.16% to ₹25.52 with over 7.30 crore shares traded during the session.

Suzlon, Visisthand Media Stocks Attract Interest

Zee Entertainment Enterprises advanced 3.57% to ₹115.77, reflecting continued interest in media stocks.

Infosys Among Notable Laggards

Among actively traded counters, Infosys was the biggest loser, falling 7.53% to ₹1,042.60 amid weakness across information technology stocks. Tata Silver ETF and ITBEES also traded lower, declining more than 5% each.

Ola Electric Mobility slipped 0.88%, while Bharat Coal and Gold ETF remained under pressure during the session.

Market Activity Remains Broad-Based

Trading activity remained spread across financial services, insurance, renewable energy, media and technology stocks. The sharp rise in NIACL and IFCI contrasted with weakness in Infosys, highlighting the sector-specific rotation visible in the market.
