Mumbai, May 25:Shares of Eicher Motors rallied over 5% at Rs 7,355 on Monday after the Royal Enfield maker reported stronger-than-expected March-quarter earnings, driven by healthy domestic demand, improved margins and robust premium motorcycle sales.

Eicher Motors share price climbed after the company posted a consolidated net profit of 1,520 crore for Q4FY26, up around 12% from a year ago and ahead of Street estimates. Revenue from operations rose 16% year-on-year to 6,080 crore, supported by sales.

Royal Enfield Drives Earnings Momentum

Eicher Motors benefited from sustained demand for premium motorcycles in the domestic market, with Royal Enfield recording its highest-ever fourth-quarter sales at over 3.13 lakh motorcycles during the quarter.

Analysts noted that a richer product mix, improved pricing and operating leverage helped the company maintain strong profitability despite concerns around commodity costs and competition in the two-wheeler market.

The companys EBITDA rose nearly 20% year-on-year during the quarter, while margins were hit by commodity costs

Eicher Motors also announced a final dividend of 82 per share for FY26, further improving investor sentiment around the stock.

Brokerages Divided Despite Strong Results

Several global brokerages maintained constructive views on the stock following the earnings announcement.

Goldman Sachs retained a positive stance on Eicher Motors, citing strong demand trends, steady margins and long-term growth opportunities in the premium motorcycle segment. Morgan Stanley also remained constructive on the companys medium-term outlook, supported by capacity expansion and export growth plans.

However, some analysts flagged concerns around elevated valuations, rising competitive intensity and uncertainty surrounding export markets and raw material prices.

Investors are also closely tracking Eicher Motors’ ongoing expansion plans, including new manufacturing investments aimed at increasing Royal Enfields production capacity and strengthening its global footprint.

Premium Segment Continues to Outperform

The latest earnings reinforce the resilience of India’s premium motorcycle segment.

Market participants believe Royal Enfields strong brand positioning, loyal customer base and growing export presence continue to provide Eicher Motors with a competitive advantage over peers in the mid-size motorcycle category.

The stocks sharp rally also reflects improving investor confidence in premium discretionary consumption themes despite lingering macroeconomic uncertainties.
