New Delhi, Oct 13: Here are five stocks in focus on Tuesday, from IRCON International’s Rs 862.46 crore East Central Railway order to Vikran Engineering’s Rs 2,941.19 crore IREDA loan to Alpha Wave’s Rs 1,704.8 crore Lenskart stake sale to Swan Defence’s Rs 566.44 crore quarterly profit to Indian Hotels’ 670-hotel portfolio. Here are some key points to note from today’s session.
IRCON International (IRCON)
IRCON International (IRCON) informed the exchanges on Monday that it had received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 862.46 crore from East Central Railway for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project. The LoA covers the third and fourth railway lines between the Gomoh–Koderma and Gaya–Son Nagar sections, including the supply of ballast and permanent way. The project must be completed within 365 days.
This comes after the company won a five-year contract worth Rs 96.25 crore from Konkan Railway on October 9. The latest order value is approximately 9% of IRCON’s market capitalisation, which stands at around Rs 9,846 crore. The stock is trading 41% lower year-to-date. Investors will watch whether the company can deliver the project within the stipulated 365 days.
Vikran Engineering (VIKRAN)
Vikran Engineering (VIKRAN) disclosed that its wholly owned subsidiary, NOPL Solar Projects, had entered into a facility agreement with the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) for a rupee term loan of up to Rs 2,941.19 crore. The loan will finance a 969 MWac/1,163 MWp solar photovoltaic project at various sites across Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY). The total project cost is estimated at Rs 4,201.70 crore.
This follows an EPC order worth Rs 3,517.98 crore awarded to Vikran by NOPL. Vikran will also issue a corporate guarantee in favour of IREDA, which investors will need to monitor. The company had also secured an order worth approximately Rs 153.76 crore, excluding GST, from Power Grid Corporation of India in the previous month.
Lenskart Solutions (LENSKART)
Alpha Wave Ventures LP sold 2.64 crore equity shares of Lenskart Solutions (LENSKART), representing 1.51 per cent of its paid-up equity, for Rs 1,704.8 crore. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 645.31 apiece, as part of the 2.88 per cent holding, equal to 5 crore shares, that Alpha Wave held as of September 2026.
The stock fell as much as 5 per cent to Rs 643.80 on Monday on heavy volumes and ended 4.4 per cent lower at Rs 647.95 on the BSE. It was Alpha Wave’s second block sale in about six weeks, after the Rs 1,856.8 crore sale at Rs 630 a share on August 28, so investors will watch for further early-investor selling. Lenskart is reportedly expected to post revenue growth of over 30 per cent in the September quarter.
Swan Defence and Heavy Industries (SWANDEF)
Swan Defence and Heavy Industries (SWANDEF) posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 566.44 crore for the September quarter, compared with a loss of Rs 0.55 crore in the year-ago period. The profit was driven by a one-time write-back of Rs 563.15 crore of excess tax provisions made in earlier years, following the amalgamation of Triumph Offshore Private Limited.
Before that adjustment, profit before tax was only about Rs 3 crore on operating revenue of Rs 68.85 crore, so the headline number does not reflect underlying earnings. The stock has touched a 52-week high of Rs 2,950 after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 1,897 crore tanker contract. The company, formerly known as Reliance Naval and Engineering, also carries debt of about Rs 2,725 crore.
Indian Hotels Company (INDHOTEL)
Indian Hotels Company (INDHOTEL) signed 47 hotel agreements and opened 20 properties in the first half of FY27, taking its portfolio to 670 hotels, including a pipeline of 280. The luxury segment accounted for four Taj hotels, one Brij and one Atmantan signing, while Ginger and Tree of Life together contributed 19 signings in the mid-scale category. New openings expanded its presence in Mumbai, Gurugram, Goa and Hyderabad.
With 390 hotels operating as of September 30, the company says it is on track to reach its 700-hotel Accelerate 2030 target ahead of schedule, with the portfolio 30 hotels short. Investors will track how quickly the pipeline converts into openings, since only 20 properties opened against 47 signed in the half.
