Mumbai, September 11: Indian stocks that recorded high trading volumes on the NSE were in focus on Friday, with Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, Pine Labs and Anlon Healthcare among the most actively traded names. Vodafone Idea gained after reports that an SBI-led consortium is evaluating its ₹35,000-crore funding proposal, while Pine Labs surged more than 10% after the RBI extended the deadline for merchant re-KYC. PC Jeweller was largely unchanged after clearing dues with another lender, while Anlon Healthcare extended its winning streak to a fourth session.

Vodafone Idea Limited (up 1.28%)

Vodafone Idea shares gained after reports said a consortium of lenders led by State Bank of India is evaluating the telecom operator’s proposal for a ₹35,000-crore funding package. The proposed facility comprises ₹25,000 crore in funded debt and another ₹10,000 crore in non-funded facilities, and is aimed at supporting Vodafone Idea’s planned ₹45,000-crore capital expenditure over the next three years, including network expansion and 5G rollout. The funding is seen as critical for the cash-strapped telecom operator as it seeks to strengthen its network, improve customer retention and compete more effectively with Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.

PC Jeweller Limited (down 0.07%)

PC Jeweller shares flatlined after the jewellery retailer said it had cleared all outstanding debt with one more lender under its September 2024 settlement agreement. With the latest repayment, the company has now settled its dues with 11 of the 14 consortium banks, with all repayments completed ahead of their scheduled due dates. PC Jeweller has also discharged more than 96% of the outstanding debt owed to the remaining three banks and expects to repay the balance, representing less than 4%, this month to achieve debt-free status. The company had entered into the settlement with a 14-bank consortium to resolve its stressed loan position.

Pine Labs Limited (up 10.75%)

Pine Labs shares jumped after the Reserve Bank of India deferred the September 15 deadline for merchant re-KYC by six months, providing additional time for payment aggregators to complete the process. The extension is expected to ease near-term compliance pressure on payment companies, which had been racing to complete re-KYC for a large number of merchants before the original deadline. Payment aggregators had sought more time from the RBI amid a backlog involving thousands of merchants. The move is positive for Pine Labs as it reduces the risk of disruptions to merchant accounts and gives the company more time to complete the regulatory exercise.

Anlon Healthcare Limited (up 9.75%)

Anlon Healthcare extended its rise to a fourth session. The manufacturer of pharmaceutical intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) has risen 23% over a week and 34% over a month. It has risen 30% this year so far.
