Mumbai, June 23: Piramal Pharma, Cochin Lifesciences and Garuda Construction & Engineering featured among the top volume gainers on Tuesday, with trading volumes surging well above their recent averages.

The list highlighted strong investor participation across pharmaceuticals, chemicals, engineering and industrial stocks, indicating broad-based interest beyond benchmark index constituents.

Cochin Lifesciences, Indo Borax and Garuda Construction Rally

Cochin Lifesciences rose 15.95% to ₹469.90 while recording volumes more than 30 times its one-week average.

Indo Borax & Chemicals gained 13.63% to ₹410.50 and Garuda Construction & Engineering advanced 13.39% to ₹193.98 amid heavy trading activity.

Roto Pumps climbed 11.80% to ₹72.85, while 20 Microns gained 10.16% and Emmbi Industries added 11.71%.

Piramal Pharma Continues to Attract Investor Attention

Piramal Pharma remained one of the most actively traded names in the volume-gainers basket, rising 8.17% to ₹171.46 with more than 7.24 crore shares changing hands.

Kirloskar Oil Engines gained 3.78% to ₹2,480.20, while Pace Digitek rose 7.50% and Polyplex Corporation added nearly 4%.

The Piramal Pharma share price remained in focus as volumes surged to nearly 20 times the stock’s one-week average.

Vedanta Sees Heavy Volumes Despite Decline

Vedanta also appeared on the volume-gainers list with turnover exceeding ₹4.24 lakh crore in value terms. However, the stock fell 7.70% to ₹282.30 despite trading volumes running more than eight times its recent average.

This suggests that elevated volumes were driven by both buying and selling activity across select counters.
