Mumbai, July 10: Petrol and diesel prices remained largely stable across India’s metro cities and state capitals on Friday, July 10. Petrol prices were unchanged in key cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Lucknow, while diesel rates also held steady in most major markets. Chennai and Bhubaneswar witnessed modest increases in both fuels, whereas Bengaluru recorded the steepest decline. Fuel prices continue to be revised daily, with retail rates varying from one state to another due to differences in value-added tax (VAT), freight charges and other local levies.

Oil prices rose on Friday and remained on track for weekly gains as persistent concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East weighed. Renewed hostilities between the United States and Iran continued to keep energy markets on edge, even as investors took comfort from the absence of direct attacks on major oil infrastructure.

Brent crude futures rose 0.4% to $76.6 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained the same to $72.4 a barrel. Brent was on course to gain about 6% for the week, while WTI was set for a 5% weekly advance, supported by fears that escalating geopolitical tensions could disrupt global crude supplies.

Markets remained focused on developments in the Middle East after fresh military strikes between Washington and Tehran strained a recently announced ceasefire. Iran reportedly targeted US-linked infrastructure in the Gulf, while explosions were reported near the Bushehr nuclear facility. However, traders took some reassurance from US President Donald Trump’s remarks suggesting that a broader regional conflict remained unlikely, and from the fact that major energy infrastructure has so far escaped damage. Although shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains partially restricted, oil exports have not seen a significant disruption.

Here’s the latest city-wise petrol and diesel price list for today.
