Mumbai, July 24: Shares of SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd (SBILIFE.NS) ended higher on Friday, after the country’s largest private life insurer reported a 22% jump in first-quarter profit backed by strong growth in new business premiums and steady renewals.

On last check, the counter was quoted at Rs 1,851.30, down Rs 2.20 or 0.12%, as some of the day’s gains were pared in the final trades.
At the close, SBI Life’s order book on the exchange was skewed entirely to the sell side, with a pending offer of 100 shares at Rs 1,858.60 and no bids visible on the counter, pointing to muted fresh buying interest even as the stock ended in positive territory for the day.
