The approval is supported by the INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 Phase 3 clinical studies, which evaluated the efficacy and safety of ILUMYA in adults with active psoriatic arthritis.

ILUMYA was initially approved in the US in 2018 for adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. The latest approval broadens its potential use in treating psoriatic disease.
