Why Top Gainers and Losers Matter
The top gainers and losers list gives investors a quick look at which stocks are seeing the strongest price movements during a trading session. Looking at the percentage change along with trading volume can help put those moves into context. However, a stock’s movement over a few hours does not necessarily indicate a longer-term trend, so investors should also consider company developments, market conditions and other relevant factors.
Conclusion
Bharat Electronics Ltd was the standout gainer at noon on September 8, rising 2.71% to ₹414.95. Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Hindalco Industries Ltd also crossed the 1% mark, while Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd added 1%. On the other side, ICICI Bank Ltd led the declines with a 1.84% fall, followed by Axis Bank Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd. Overall, the snapshot showed a mixed market, with buying interest in select stocks offset by pressure across several major names.
