Why Top Gainers & Losers Matter
The day’s top gainers and losers give a quick picture of where buying and selling are strongest. They can help investors spot stocks that are moving sharply while the broader market is still finding direction. But a percentage move alone does not tell the full story. Looking at trading volume, company-specific developments and the wider market mood can give a much clearer picture of what is happening behind the price movement.
Conclusion
The September 11, 2026, 12:00 PM IST snapshot shows a market where gains remain selective. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd led the upside with a 3% jump, while Tech Mahindra Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd also managed to stay in the green. The pressure was more visible in metals, with Hindalco Industries Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd and JSW Steel Ltd all losing more than 2%. With trading volumes picking up in several counters, the second half of the session could be important in deciding whether these moves continue or begin to reverse.
