Bharti Hexacom Posts ₹2,289 Crore Revenue in Q4 Earnings, Up 22.5% YoY

Bharti Hexacom Ltd posted healthy fourth-quarter financials as of March 31, 2025, based on the strong customer additions, growth in the utilization of data, and enhanced operational effectiveness.
Q4 Performance Highlights
The consolidated revenue of the company for Q4 FY25 was ₹2,289 crore, 22.5% year-on-year (YoY) higher than Q4 FY24’s ₹1,868 crore. Net revenue (after excluding access charges, license fees, and cost of goods sold) grew 22.8% YoY to ₹1,822 crore.
EBITDA was up 33.5% YoY at ₹914 crore in Q4 FY24 to ₹1,220 crore in Q4 FY25 and 2.2% QoQ from ₹1,194 crore in Q3 FY25. EBITDA margin also expanded from 48.9% to 53%.
Depreciation and amortization expenses rose 15.5% year on year at ₹531 crore. EBIT increased to ₹677 crore from ₹454 crore a year earlier. The EBIT margin rose to 29.6% from 24.3% in Q4 FY24. The organization reported net cash income (ignoring derivative and currency volatility) of ₹1,043 crore for the period compared to ₹760 crore for Q4 FY24.
Q4 FY25 net profit (before exceptionals) of ₹380 crore rose 70.8% from the prior year’s ₹223 crore. Profit before tax was at ₹513 crore compared to ₹301 crore in Q4 FY24. In the quarter, income tax levy jumped from ₹78 crore in the previous corresponding quarter to ₹133 crore.
Dividend Announcement:
Bharti Hexacom has recommended a final dividend of ₹10 per fully paid-up equity share of face value of ₹5 for the year 2024–25. The dividend is in proportion to the amount paid-up on each equity share.
The proposed dividend is subject to approval by the shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). In case of approval, the dividend will be credited to the shareholders within 30 days from the date of the AGM.
Network Expansion and Growth:
As of 31st March 2025, Bharti Hexacom’s customer base increased to around 28.58 million from 27.65 million in the same period last year, an uptrend of 3.4%. Smartphone data customers increased to 21.5 million, up by 0.7 million QoQ and 2.0 million YoY.
- Mobile traffic increased sharply by 23.5% YoY to 1,683 petabytes in Q4 FY25 from 1,364 PB this year ago.
- Average per-user mobile data usage increased 13% year-over-year to 27.7 GB per month.
- Total network usage minutes amounted to 95 billion, an increase of 4.9% YoY from 91 billion.
Bharti Hexacom kept its network growing with 26,497 network towers as of the end of the quarter (year-over-year addition of 25,704) and 81,840 mobile broadband basestations, as against 79,835 in Q4 FY24 and 81,340 in the last quarter.
The company’s Home broadband business, which is now spread across 114 cities (including LCOs), has posted a 29.6% growth in revenues on a year-over-year basis. The business added around 53,000 clients during the quarter and took the base to 0.4 million, a 46.9% year-over-year growth.
Capex and Debt Position
Quarterly capital spending totaled ₹425 crore. The debt profile of the company improved substantially as net debt (excluding leases) decreased to ₹3,689 crore as of 31st March 2025 from ₹4,557 crore last year. Net debt on a leases included basis stood at ₹7,262 crore. Net Debt-EBITDA ratio dropped to 1.49x from 1.65x QoQ (on a leases included basis), and to 0.87x from 1.03x (on an excluding leases basis).
