Century Business Media Files For SME IPO Of 23.16 Lakh Shares

Mumbai, September 8, 2025: Century Business Media Limited (CBML) has announced that it has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for offering 23.16 lakh shares. The size of the issue, along with the price band, is yet to be announced by the company.
Century Business Media is a private media company based in India. It was incorporated on September 23, 1999, and has its registered office in Patna, Bihar. The company operates primarily in the media and advertising industry.
IPO Details
The SME IPO consists of a 100% fresh issue of 23,16,000 equity shares, representing about 26.42% of post-issue equity, with no offer-for-sale component. The post-issue equity base will increase to 87,65,280 shares. After the IPO, the company’s promoter shareholding will reduce to 73.6% from the current 100%.
The shares are proposed to be listed on the BSE SME platform. Hem Securities Limited is the book-running lead manager, while KFin Technologies Limited is the registrar. Price band, lot size and IPO dates are yet to be announced by the company.
Usage of IPO Proceeds
The company aims to utilise ₹309.58 lakh for security deposits for Patna, Deoghar and Darbhanga airports. Additionally, ₹293.77 lakh will be used for purchasing media assets, ₹150.00 lakh for repayment of borrowings, ₹300.00 lakh for working capital, and the balance amount for general corporate purposes.
Recent Financial Snapshot: Century Business Media
In FY25, total income stood at ₹3,691.28 lakh, with revenue from operations of ₹3,665.29 lakh. EBITDA was ₹717.66 lakh, PAT ₹470.47 lakh, and EPS ₹7.30. Net worth increased to ₹1,246.65 lakh, while debt stood at ₹549.61 lakh. In FY24, total income was ₹3,226.81 lakh, revenue from operations ₹3,203.39 lakh, EBITDA ₹558.38 lakh, PAT ₹367.60 lakh, EPS ₹5.72, net worth ₹775.85 lakh, and debt ₹810.22 lakh.
In FY23, the company reported total income of ₹2,274.29 lakh, revenue from operations ₹2,257.17 lakh, EBITDA ₹206.60 lakh, PAT ₹107.96 lakh, EPS ₹1.68, net worth ₹407.06 lakh, and debt ₹577.65 lakh. Margins improved constantly, with EBITDA margin rising from 9.15% in FY23 to 19.58% in FY25, while PAT margin increased from 4.78% to 12.84%.
Revenue Contributors
In terms of the company’s business mix, Airport OOH (Out Of Home Advertising) dominates with 49.62% of revenue, followed by Railway OOH at 28.73%, City OOH (Flex & mounting) at 19.47%, Metro OOH at 1.89%, and others at 0.29%. Geographically, Bihar contributes nearly 45% of revenues, followed by Jharkhand (16.7%), West Bengal (9.6%), Delhi (6.5%) and Maharashtra (4.6%).
