Mumbai, October 14, 2025: Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Pvt. Ltd, one of the major asset management companies in the country, has received approval from the regulators for launching the Mirae Asset Infrastructure Fund. It is an open-ended equity scheme that will invest in the country’s ever-expanding infrastructure. The new fund focuses on long-term capital appreciation by investing in companies that will benefit from the country’s infrastructure growth.
The infrastructure sector in India is expected to grow in double digits (around 11%) up to 2026, and the total size of the infrastructure will reach $200 billion by the end of next year. The growth rate is anticipated to be around 8-10% per annum between 2026 and 2031.
Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, part of the globally diversified Mirae Asset Financial Group based in Seoul, is among India’s most rapidly expanding fund houses. The AMC offers a comprehensive suite of equity, debt, and hybrid mutual fund products, serving investors seeking consistent, research-driven performance across market cycles.
Fund Objective and Theme
The Mirae Asset Infrastructure Fund aims to deliver sustained long-term growth by investing predominantly in equities and equity-related instruments of firms directly or indirectly linked to the infrastructure ecosystem. Key sectors include construction, power, energy, transport, logistics, telecom, metals, capital goods, and engineering.
The fund will actively manage its portfolio, with up to 20% of assets optionally allocated to non-infrastructure equities to maintain portfolio balance and enhance returns.
Asset Allocation Structure
The scheme will invest 80–100% of its assets in equity and related instruments of infrastructure companies, with limited exposure of up to 20% in non-infrastructure equities and debt or money market instruments, and up to 10% in REITs and InvITs. This allocation reflects a strong sectoral focus while allowing moderate diversification for risk management. The fund’s performance will be benchmarked against the BSE Infrastructure Total Return Index (TRI) to align with market-wide infrastructure sector trends.
Key Offer Details
As underlined before, this will be an open-ended equity scheme that will follow the infrastructure theme. The NFO price shall be ₹11 per unit. The minimum investment will be ₹5000, with subsequent investments in multiples of ₹1. The fund also offers an SIP option starting from ₹99. The fund manager will be Ms. Bharti Sawant, who has more than 18 years of experience in investment analysis and fund management. The exit load shall be 1% if redeemed within one year. There will be both direct and regular plans.
