Adani Green Adds 4.88 GW Capacity in June Quarter

Mumbai, 11 July 2025: Adani Green Energy Limited (NSE: ADANIGREEN) has reported performance for the first quarter of FY26, adding 4.88 GW of greenfield renewable energy capacity and registering a 42% year-on-year increase in energy sales. This expansion has taken its total operational capacity to 15.8 GW, the largest in India, marking a 45% growth over Q1 FY25.
Shares of Adani Green Energy showed a modest uptick following the company’s strong Q1 FY26 operational update. The stock opened at ₹999.80 and touched an intraday high of ₹1,010.90 before settling at ₹999.70 by 9:41 am IST, up ₹3.90 or 0.39% from the previous close. Investor sentiment remained stable, reflecting a cautious but positive response to the company’s record capacity addition and 42% year-on-year growth in energy sales.
Rapid Capacity Expansion Lifts Total Operational Portfolio to 15.8 GW
Adani Green’s addition of 4.88 GW in Q1 FY26 reflects its fastest quarterly expansion to date. The newly added capacity comprises 3,763 MW of solar installations across Khavda (2,463 MW), Rajasthan (1,050 MW), and Andhra Pradesh (250 MW), 585 MW of wind energy in Khavda, and 534 MW from hybrid projects also located in Khavda, Gujarat.
Energy Sales Climb 42% on the Back of Enhanced Generation Capacity
Driven by this capacity boost, Adani Green’s energy sales rose from 7,356 million units in Q1 FY25 to 10,479 million units in Q1 FY26, a 42% year-on-year increase. The surge underscores the company’s ability to translate capacity additions into tangible operational output within tight timeframes.
Plant Availability and Utilisation Rates Indicate High Operational Efficiency
Adani Green reported strong performance across its solar, wind, and hybrid assets with consistently high capacity utilisation factors (CUFs) and plant availability in Q1 FY26:
- Solar CUF: 28.0% with 99.3% availability
- Wind CUF: 42.3% with 95.5% availability
- Hybrid CUF: 43.9% with 98.6% availability
These metrics reflect the company’s emphasis on operational discipline and asset optimisation.
PPA Performance Continues to Surpass Commitments
In Q1 FY26 alone, Adani Green achieved 31% of its annual generation commitment under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), reaching a generation total of 10,479 million units. Over the past five years, the company has consistently exceeded its PPA obligations, delivering between 106% and 111% of its committed generation.

Long-Term Vision Targets 50 GW Capacity by FY30 with Strategic Diversification
Adani Green reiterated its aim to scale its renewable capacity to 50 GW by FY30. The company’s strategy includes expanding its footprint in merchant and commercial & industrial (C&I) markets, developing mid-duration hybrid projects, and implementing Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. The company also continues to adopt advanced digital and AI tools through its ENOC (Energy Network Operations Center) to drive operational excellence.
