Mumbai, Oct 6, 2025Bank of Baroda (BSE: 532134, NSE: BANKBARODA), one of the largest public sector banks in India, reported a critical 10.47% rise in its global business, reaching ₹27.9 trillion at the end of September 2025. There was an increase in both advances and deposits of the bank. The global advances rose 11.90% (year-over-year), and global deposits increased by 9.28% to reach ₹15 trillion.

The stock closed at ₹265.90 (0.74% up from the previous day’s close). The shares started the Monday morning trade in green and moved sideways throughout the day.

Key Financial Highlights

The bank demonstrated consistent growth across all key financial parameters in FY2025. Global business expanded by 10.47% YoY to ₹27.79 lakh crore, driven by balanced growth in deposits and advances. Global deposits rose 9.28% YoY to ₹15.00 lakh crore, supported by strong domestic deposits up 9.66%. On the lending side, global advances climbed 11.90% to ₹12.79 lakh crore, while domestic advances increased 11.49%. Notably, domestic retail advances saw the fastest growth at 17.56%, reaching ₹2.73 lakh crore, indicating robust consumer lending momentum and an improving credit demand environment.

Market Reaction

As stated before, the stock moved sideways throughout the trading period after starting in green. It closed at ₹265.90 (0.74% higher from the previous close of ₹263.95). However, during the day, the stock touched an intraday high of ₹272.05, marking a fresh 52-week high, and a low of ₹265.80 during the session. Following today’s surge, the stock has increased by 13.32% in the past month.

Strategic Outlook

The double-digit growth in advances alongside steady deposit inflows highlights continued balance sheet expansion heading into FY26. Retail lending momentum remains strong, with domestic retail advances surging 17.56% YoY.
