Mumbai, October 15: ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited’s share price is witnessing heavy investor demand today, after the company reported a net profit of ₹820 crore. As of 10:45 AM, the shares of the company were up by 7.42%, or 137.60, and were trading at ₹1,992.40. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹2,002.20 and ₹1,895.10. The traded volume stood at 27.07 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹92,288 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹2,145 and their 52-week low at ₹1,613.70.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited is an Indian company that sells insurance policies to customers. It is a part of the ICICI Bank and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol ICICIGI and on BSE with the ticker symbol 540716.

Key Trigger: Strong Q2FY26 Results

For the September quarter, ICICI Lombard reported a net profit of ₹820 crore, an 18% increase from the same period last year. The company’s board also announced a higher interim dividend of ₹6.50 per share. The company’s Gross Direct Premium Income (GDPI) for the quarter was ₹65.96 billion, a slight decrease of 1.9% year-on-year. However, if the crop and mass health segments are excluded, the premium income grew by 3.5%.

A key measure of profitability, the combined ratio, stood at 105.1% for the quarter. For the first half of the financial year, the company’s net profit rose by 22.9% to ₹15.67 billion, and its return on average equity (ROAE) improved to 20.8%. Furthermore, the company’s solvency ratio improved to 2.73 times as of September 30, 2025. This is well above the minimum regulatory requirement of 1.50 times and shows an increase from 2.70 times in the previous quarter and 2.69 times at the end of the last financial year.
