New Delhi, October 16: KEI Industries Limited share price is witnessing negative investor demand amid profit booking today, on October 16. As of 12:55 PM, the shares were down by 6.03%, or 266.60 points, and are currently trading at ₹4,154. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹4,435 and ₹4,031.90. The current traded volume stands at 15.92 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹42,240 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹4,725 and their 52-week low at ₹2,424.

Share Price Falls Despite Profit Rising 31% YoY to ₹203.5 Crore

The share price is falling despite the company reporting strong financials for the second quarter of FY26. KEI Industries reported a revenue of ₹2,726.35 crore, which is a 19.4% increase year-on-year and a 5.3% increase from the previous quarter. The company’s EBITDA rose by 31.2% year-on-year to ₹311.63 crore. The net profit (PAT) increased by 31.5% year-on-year to ₹203.51 crore. For the first half of the financial year, the company’s total revenue surged by 22.25% to ₹5,316.67 crore, while the profit for the six-month period jumped by 30.9% to ₹399.26 crore.

Segment-Wise Performance

Institutional Cable & Wire Division

This division contributed 41.6% of total second quarter sales. Its revenue grew by 28.1% year-on-year, driven by a 116% surge in exports. Domestic institutional sales were ₹581 crore, while sales of EHV (Extra High Voltage) cables grew to ₹128 crore.

Dealer & Distribution Channel

This remained the company’s largest segment, accounting for 54.1% of sales. Sales through this channel increased by 17.3% year-on-year to ₹1,475 crore. The number of active dealers also grew to 2,343.

EPC and SS Wire

The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) business revenue declined by 41.1% to ₹47 crore. Sales from stainless steel (SS) wire also fell by 10.6% to ₹53 crore. For the first half of the year, the EPC business contributed just 2.03% of the company’s total sales.
