New Delhi, November 11: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. It reported a 28.2% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹12,615 crore but a 17.8% decline in its standalone net profit.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (NSE: ONGC | BSE: 500312) is an Indian public sector company that operates as an oil and gas explorer and producer. The company was established in 1956, and is headquartered in New Delhi.

ONGC Q2FY26 Financial Results

ONGC reported consolidated gross revenue of ₹1,57,911 crore in Q2FY26, lower by 0.9% compared to ₹1,59,331 crore in Q2FY25. The company’s consolidated net profit increased 28.2% YoY to ₹12,615 crore from ₹9,841 crore. However, standalone net profit declined 17.8% YoY to ₹9,848 crore, due to lower crude oil realisations. The nominated crude oil price fell to $67.34/bbl from $78.33/bbl (a 14% decline). Gas price (nomination) rose to $6.75/mmbtu from $6.50/mmbtu last year.

New Well Gas (NWG) contributed over 21% of total gas revenue in H1FY26. It added ₹3,352 crore, which is ₹651 crore higher than APM-linked prices. On the production front, standalone crude oil output increased by 1.2% to 4.630 MMT, while natural gas output was at 4.918 BCM.

ONGC Share Price Falls 1.09% At ₹248.65

As of 10:25 AM, ONGC share price is down by 1.09%, or 2.75 points, and is trading at ₹248.65. Until now, the ONGC shares have traded within a range of ₹254.20 and ₹248.65. The current traded volume stands at 41.02 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹3,16,268 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹273.50 and their 52-week low at ₹205.

Investor Takeaway for ONGC

ONGC reported a mixed set of numbers for Q2FY26. Although its consolidated net profit increased by 28.2%, its standalone net profit declined by 17.8%. Furthermore, it also saw a decline in its revenue. The mixed financials have negatively affected investor demand, leading to a share price fall until now.
