ACME Solar Finalises 200 MW Solar-Plus-Storage PPA, Stock Up 1.12%

Gurugram, November 25: ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja Private Limited has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement for a 200 MW solar project integrated with a 100 MW/400 MWh energy storage system (ESS). The agreement was signed yesterday on November 24, and follows an earlier 150 MW PPA signed in October 2024.
ACME Solar Holdings Limited (NSE: ACMESOLAR, BSE: 544283) is an Indian renewable energy independent power producer (IPPs). It is engaged in developing, building, owning, and operating utility-scale clean energy projects. The company was established in 2015, and is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana.
Key Details About the Project
The project capacity is 200 MW Solar + ESS (100 MW/400 MWh), with a tariff of ₹3.42 per unit. The developer is the company’s subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja Pvt Ltd. The project timeline is 25 years, with the operations scheduled to start from June 30, 2027. The Annual CUF Requirement is 25%–27% (solar hours), while the Peak-Hour Availability is 70% monthly, and 85% annually.
Shares Rise 1.12% to ₹235.75
As of 12:22 PM, ACME Solar share price was up by 1.12%, or 2.60 points, and was trading at ₹235.75. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹239.90 and ₹229.70. The traded volume stood at 6.75 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹14,425 crore.
Investor Takeaway for ACME Solar
The new project has increased the company’s total PPA-tied capacity to 5.38 GW, including 800 MW contracted in the current financial year. It is also supported by 2,320 MWh of BESS capacity. The contract will further increase the company’s market presence, and provide it with revenue visibility for 25 years. The announcement has boosted investor demand today, and the share price is trading higher.
